Sunshine Chats: Gift of Compassion

Welcome to my second Sunshine Chat! Today I will be talking about the Gift of Compassion.

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” —Leo Buscaglia

Introducing: Sunshine Chats – Gift of Kindness

Hi everyone! Welcome to my first Sunshine Chat. Today I will be speaking about The Gift of Kindness. How can we change the world? One random act of kindness at a time.

Please share this post with your friends! Have a great week. God Bless!

Wonderful Hope Conference Calls

Wonderful Hope Conference Calls

Dear Friends,

As we all anxiously await a return to normalcy while doing our part to limit the spread of COVID-19, Sister Ave and friends of Heart to Heart Ministry began gathering weekly, virtually, via phone conference calls. The 30-minute calls started in late April and continue weekly on Thursdays at 10 AM, 1 PM and 7 PM. If you are interested in joining us during one of these time-slots, please contact Sister Ave at (718) 428-2471 for details and to be added to our mailing list.

COVID-19: A Prayer of Solidarity

COVID-19: A Prayer of Solidarity

For all who have contracted coronavirus,
We pray for care and healing.

For those who are particularly vulnerable,
We pray for safety and protection.

For all who experience fear or anxiety,
We pray for peace of mind and spirit.

For affected families who are facing difficult decisions between food on the table or public safety,
We pray for policies that recognize their plight.

For those who do not have adequate health insurance,
We pray that no family will face financial burdens alone.

For those who are afraid to access care due to immigration status,
We pray for recognition of the God-given dignity of all.

For our brothers and sisters around the world,
We pray for shared solidarity.

For public officials and decisionmakers,
We pray for wisdom and guidance.

Father, during this time may your Church be a sign of hope, comfort and love to all.
Grant peace.
Grant comfort.
Grant healing.
Be with us, Lord.

Amen.
