Sunshine Chat: Empty Baskets
Violet’s Dell of Dew
I love violet’s! When I was a little child growing up in Yonkers near the Hudson River, I would walk in the woods with my mother and pick a basket-full of wild and dainty violets. I hope you enjoy this poem by Father Fabre which my mother taught me so many years ago. To this day, it reminds me that God is everywhere, especially in the simple, yet magnificent violet.
I see Thee in the distant blue,
But in the violet’s dell of dew,
Behold! I breathe and touch Thee too!
As you gaze at this photo, what do you hear God saying to YOU?
